Stalling when stopping

I just installed a new edelbrock 600 on my 69. After the car is warmed up it wants to die out when I push the clutch in to stop. If I tap the gas it will idle fine. Any suggestions? Aloha

also can you convert a manual choke to a electric? I have the wires hooked up but the edelbrock i'm gonna use is manual. So I can use that until I can add the choke or will I have to buy a new carb?
