When I restored my '70 back in '88 we put the stripes, wing and hood tach on it - no Judge decals. I have since removed the stripes because it seemed that, at least in my area, all the 70 GTOs had...

Same here - after each long ride I apply some Turtle Wax Chrome Polish and it comes right off. I don't let it build up too much/long because I remember back in the 70s seeing the 70/71 GTO's rear...

When I put the stripes on (1988) they weren't clear coated. I have since removed them - I got bored of the look and everyone around here seems to have them now.
