Bought the 48 in Kansas from the first owner, still has original paint , has 350/350 from a 71 Firebird , 12 volt , painless...

Question 428 YY code question

Hi
I have a YY coded 428cid, that should be a 360 hp from 1967, or?

Over the YY code its stamped 2932780.

Is this the last 7 digits in the VIN number that this engine had belonged too?

We have a 69 Skylark convertible with Buick 350 4 barrel and I have a 69 Pontiac 428cid engine and TH400, just taking space in my garage.

I will be in the USA for 7 weeks this year, 3 weeks alone, before I am going to take my family on a vacation.

It has park, so it have to be a dual range.

The trans works OK.

I did find it in the transmissions pan on my 56 Pontiac Starchief.

I couldn't find any picture of this part in my 55 hydra matic manual.

Maybe it's special for 56?

Is the rear Pontiac frame very different compared to Classic Chevy?

I have seen complete frame kits for Classic Chevy, to do this job.

I think I will use a 8.8 Fomoco rear Axle...
