Forgot to ad this - my VIN says the 49 coupe was built at Plant C which is in South Gate California

Formulabruce - you can buy a brand new amber head on Ebay for $60 "buy it now"

mine looks to be good in the 49's photos, Phil said it lights up

[QUOTE=The Champ;4460631]Congratulations on your new project!

I brought this one home back in September:
"1950 Silver Streak that my Dad took in on trade from the original owner back in 1968. He sold it to my older brother who was still in college at the time. I drove it when I was 15..."

Cool you have a family history with the car

I am originally from "up North" - Hibbing... I consider Grand Meadow to be in the "deep South"...

Mayo is a wonderful place. I got in on their 2 for 1 surgery special back in '06. I'm the luckiest guy in the world for needing lung surgery (the 1st surgery). It was as a result of that that they discovered my cancer.

Last Sunday was 5 years cancer free!!!

Next time you're up - PM me and maybe we can go out to eat or something. Maybe come out to the house and check out my '50 Silver Streak project...

Love the hood ornaments on the old Pontiacs.

I posted 2 pics of the 47 Ford over there. My guess is the red wheels make it look "Rodent-y". I understand that is a no-no. I didn't even mention anything about rodent cars. For now I'll just keep on lurking using the same name there as here.

I don't want to hijack, but these are the 2 I posted on there. Taken the night we brought it home.
