Here it is. The base didn't exactly come out the way I hoped. But I soaked it in a chemical that took a layer or two off of the rust and sealed it. So it should be protected against getting worse.

I used some sand paper on the bezel mounting plate to test it, and luckily it's just surface rust and not pitted.
Someone in the past tried fixing the gear indicator and did a horrible job.
