I don't know about the holes for the spoilers but I'm pretty sure the main difference between '74-76 fenders and '77-81's is the sharpness of the crease on top and possibly how it fits with the hood...

Mine did that once, the rod from the tumbler goes...

Mine did that once, the rod from the tumbler goes to the switch way back on the column had pushed the switch assembly back just far enough that everything seemed to work but you had to turn the key...
