dont think its a bearing in the trans, i just rebuilt it less than 500miles ago, unless the bearing was bad from the factory. might just resort to pulling the trans.

whats a good spring rate?

ive finally gotten around to ordering suspension parts and was wondering what a good spring rate would be, car is a 70 GTO i want something a little stiffer than stock but nothing to crazy.

shoes are pretty much brand new, probably put 500 miles on them if that, brake fluid is some nasty stuff n wasnt fully aware of the effects it had on brake shoes.

adjusted it like the manual said, tighten it until the throwout bearing lighty contacts the PP then back it off 1/4 turn or however much it was.

installed the throwout bearing the same way the old one came off, slid right onto the clutch fork like its supposed to.
i did a search and it seems like alot of people have run into this problem...

anybody have the diagrams? ive got a service manual for a 74, but some of the components look to be different.
