This is Castilian Bronze - a great color and very period correct with the earth tone movement going on.

Rosewood, possibly?

Looked at it briefly yesterday, wasn't able to crawl all over it... snakes have made a nest in it and it is buried in the brush at the edge of his property. But, by a quick look at the trim tag... code 59 for paint. It is rotted a lot worse than I expected from the description I got. (might even need a frame) No hood, no seats, no front or back glass, dash is toast, and lots of rust everywhere. From the fragments of the interior that is left, I am guessing it had an ivory interior at one time. Bummer...

Sounds like the Ivory interior in my GT-37. It could not look worse than mine did when I got my car from a North Carolina junk yard. The drivers window was down for over 16 years. Animals lived inside this car including some big spiders and snakes.

It sure has. From a junk yard dog that was missing its engine, trans and had a blown up 8.2" 2:78 rear differential to a running, driving, tire smoking, cold factory air beater. When I attended a local Bob Sellers GMC/Pontiac/Buick show this September on the window tag for features I had WU2 GT option, A/C and rust! LOL!

I get e-mails all the time about different cars out there but one showed up in my mailbox this week that I need to share.

1971 GT-37 LATE stripe car in black over white with a GOLD stripe! Fully restored, 350/350 car with vinyl interior & carpet. The car is in PA and I've sent James the link to join here - hopefully he will.

Some pictures to drool over!

Wow! That's a little motivation to get going on my T-37 again. Why is it every time I think about selling it I come across pictures like those that make me want to keep it.

I had mine out tonight - first time since we got back from Norwalk! That car loves the cool fall air.

I bet. Did the tires like the cooler weather?

I've got a set of my freshly painted 14" honeycombs on it now with the correct 71 center caps and some Mickey Thompson Indy Profile 70's. With the 3:73 gears they had some trouble holding on to the road.

I bet! But it was still a fun ride!

That is nice! I like the stripe.

The whole Lemans GT thing is different, and cool. I was always a fan of the Formula Firebirds - sporty, yet subtly stated compared to a T/A. This has the same vibe.

It gives me some ideas for my 72 because I hadn't decided a final direction yet. Being a base 350/350 is too boring, and it needs some spice.
