They are 2 separate products though right? One for sound, one for thermal? Been a while since I've looked at all the products. But, as I recall, it was one of the better products out there. In my case, I didn't have an effective/easy way I could apply it, so it dropped off my radar. (I have no compressor)

There is so much information out there for sound deadening and heat barrier, your head will swim trying to process it all. One thing I remember is that I consistently found that Dynamat performed well and in general there were never any 'failures'.

As for cost, it's less than half of what it used to be, and shipping used to be the killer. Free shipping and $140 for 36sqft is affordable. And I didn't shop hard for the deals, bet you can get it even cheaper.

So what is the range of cost most are willing to spend when treating a car to sound and heat treatments? Would you never spend over $100? $200? $300? What's it worth? Considering that it's generally going to last the life of the car, and the difference it makes, I'm ok with spending $300, or more. Small price over the life of a car.

Yeah, you're right. When you think about it, what's another $100 or $200 when you're going through all this work. You've convinced me. Plus now, if I need another set to finish it, it will cost me half as much as it would've!

Well, I got some Al's Liner thermal barrier and Dynamat coming. That should do me up good. Will let you know how it goes on.

If you want to do the doors, under the rear seats, and way up the firewall, you might need a couple more sheets. But true, the bulk of it is covered! The doors you can go back and do later if you wanted, it's just a matter of pulling the door panels, Saturday afternoon job in the driveway. Same with under the back seat.

Al's Liner? I'm not familiar with that? Got a link?

Well my son lays rugs and I did try hair pad (not the spunge) that goes under carpit and that knocked the heat down to zero I also used it under my center consol where I used to get a LOTand I mean a lot of heat, what I did was cut the padding and spray adhevice then put the padding in. The consol would get so hot you would burn your hand and leg now you can sit your hand and leg there all day and never feel any heat at all and the price for the padding is DIRT cheap and it comes in three sizes I think he said 1/4"-3/8" and 7/16" like I said it worked great for me-----BOB

It's a felt type insulation ( NOT ) the sponge padding any place where they sell carpit will have it and it's (dirt cheap like I said) and very, very, flexable so easy to work with---BOB

Well my Al's Liner heat and noise reducer, and the DynaMat came in yesterday! Now, to start getting it installed. This is great! I'm all excited. I feel like a little kid again, getting presents!
