I would imagine that a large percentage of males that won 300 million would rush home to tell their wife that she just won 150 million.

I'm with ya!!!

Never bought a ticket, before, thought about it though.

But, when they raised it to $2.00 I MIGHT WASTE ONE DALLAR, BUT NOT TWO!!!

Ever hear the joke about the woman that just won the lottery??? Her husband comes home, she tells him, they just won the lottery.
Theres bags packed by the front door. He asks her where "they" are going???
She replies, WE'RE, not, but YOU are!!!!

It is a big jackpot this time! The winner goes home with 259 million after taxes. Who is playing?

I'm in for $5 this week.

If I won I'd buy an island in the Pacific and have booze and women flown in once a week.

  • Set up a foundation - charitable giving
(would also allow me to name family / friends to board of directors - have yearly meeting in exotic places)
  • Donate $ to update church property, reserve funds
  • Volunteer to mentor
  • Set up modest trust accounts for family
  • Set up modest education accounts for family
  • Make some modest real estate purchases
  • Increase wide range of investments - including annuities
  • Start a business or two, employ people
  • Travel
  • ...something about a GTO or two...

I usually don't play.I'd sooner buy a chocolate ice cream cone. The wife does!? I wonder if she'll share? Never hear the end.Help out the family.Donate to various charites that actually help people.Go to work just to have fun with the jerks that give everyone the business.Travel maybe. I just wonder how life would change with all the calls for money and whatever else?

There would be a new machine shop in s.Indiana with ALL the latest equipment. Rottler
R67 CNC, Berco crank grinder, Sunnen rod and valve equipment, CV-616 honing machine,
Sioux valve grinder,Serti seat cutter, etc. Pay off all debts for siblings, set up eductaion trust funds for nieces, grandnieces and grandnephew, set up senior care accounts for uncles and aunts, donate a BUNCH to our church, buy LOADS of old Pontiacs (B-bodies) and build a 10ft electrified fence around my house!!

Ahhh, let's see. I'd get a nice piece of property where when you ask a local how much does it snow here, their answer is "what's snow??" and build a sweet shop for tinkering with the goat. Set up a trust for my girls. Set my parents/in-laws up and my brother.

Then sit back and marvel at how many relatives and best friends materialize.

As long as the lottery uses balls rattling around in a machine, it is not entirely random. I remember in the early days of the Illinois lottery the number 13 was never drawn for years.
