If it is "T" plumbed, when you corner it will exaggerate body roll.

I have no brand recommendations, just please buy American-made.

I got a set of Bilsteins from a place called Racecar Dynamics out of California. Spoke with a guy nemed Steve Duck. Steve set me up with a custom set that bolted right in and they work great. I have a 2" lift all around the car. Steve was very good at helping choose the right set. If you go with the Bilsteins, you may want to contact Steve. I know he had a couple guys besides me with 62's so he should have records on what shocks he sold to fit our cars. They weren't cheap, but the ride is pretty darn nice with them in.

Using the KYB part number given above (KG5438). I used that to find what car those shocks would fit on Rock Auto. I got a list that I used to bounce off of the Gabriel site. I got the part number of 49310 for air shocks.

So I ordered the Gabriel Skyjacker 49310 and the 140656 dual plumbing kit. I will update you on the install. I has the rear of the car up to replace the e-brake cables, so nows as good a time as any,.

This always happens.....

Driver side 15 minutes....

Passenger side, the sleeve between the shock tower that the shock top rides on is rusted to the bolt. Either the penetrating oil I left on there overnight is going to allow the bolt to be popped out or I have to use the blue wrench to get it out.

The Gabriel 49310 is an OK fit. It would be nice if it was a few inches taller, but I don't think I'll be Baja'ing the wagon anytime soon.

Had to plasma cut out the passenger side shock. Got the air shocks in and the dual line set-up. I filled them to 80lbs.

WHOA!!!

80 is too much with no one sitting in the back... Dropped the pressure to 45 ish.. Rides nice. I have not tested out the sitting on the tailgate thing yet. But we only had one warm weekend here and I was driving the other Yak..

Thanks for the input!!!!

Dave
