Yes there is some cool stuff in there. The Kauffman billet block has valley head bolt bosses similar to a Chrysler hemi. Very hard to see the full deck but I could see a minimum of 4 additional head bolt locations inboard per side. More exotic stuff every year.

Ok George, you are the blower man. Why run the belt / idler that way. I have run belt setups on a number of different thing (no blower) and always had the idler push the belt in to get as much belt to pulley contact as I can.

Long belt + bottom pulley not larger than top pulley + cam driven fuel pump disallows it.

Looks like it's getting close. Interesting how they designed the blower and intake manifold to handle the idler pulley system and belt load. Very tall. What is it going into?

Actually on the older belts it doesn’t matter (providing the top and bottom pulleys are big enough For clearances and nothing else gets in the way (water pump or fuel pump, front drive distributor) BUT on the newer belts it’s not recommended to run idler pulley on the inside ( smooth side), it can damages the belt.

Taken off Facebook......."A few of you know this has been a very, very long time dream of mine to have a Pontiac Hemi. I started my hunt for a set of M/T Pontiac heads a loooooooong time ago but always turned up empty handed.
I'm envious of Steve Barcak and Jack Gifford having what appears to be the only publicly known Mickey Thompson Pontiac Hemi heads ever made along with the one head on display at Speedway Motors in a display case and the complete 4 cylinder M/T Hemi Injun most likely from the Attempt in their museum.
So when Kauffman Racing Equipment unveiled that similar Pontiac HEMI head a few years ago I regained hope. You've all seen me hugging the HEMI heads they display at the Ames Performance Pontiac Tri Power Nationals and I've been working my ace off for a long time to make this happen.
I'm very THANKFUL for Steve, Mark and Jeff Kauffman and their team who with all of their talents could be making parts for the masses, but they choose to build parts and Injuns for us Pontiac die hards. I love these guys and I LOVE Pontiacs. I THANK them for making my dream a reality. PONTIACS RuLe
PS. Steve Kauffman sent me the pictures last night. I drooled over them half the night and tried to go to sleep the other 1/2 "

Brian,
I can never leave things alone. Clearly the belt length is the problem. But it does look like with a shorter belt it will work. Also it looks like there is room in the idler adjustment without any change.

The newer stronger GT Carbon belts like we use cannot be backbent (idler on the outside).

Rather than designing for the shortest belt, it's best to design for a belt that's in stock. There's lots of lengths on the charts that nobody uses.
