Those mains are not going anywhere.
Question, has the oiling system been modified- re routed ?
Thanks for the pics, always wondered what a cross bolted Pontiac would look like.
3 fast, is the RAIV 428 in the pickup still going together ?
Not re-routed but enlarged oiling. I never had any oiling issues with the IA2.

The machinist doing the 428 is a friend of mine and is recovering from breaking his neck. It’s not far from being done but I’m not pressuring him at all. He has bigger problems than me.

First pics I have seen of the new block. Looks nice. From the pic, it looks like a Pontiac crankshaft may fit in there? I only say that because you stayed with #4 for the thrust bearing. Are you planning an enlarged nose for the blower drive loads? Or do I remember you saying you wee going to use the current spline drive the big show cars are using? Again good luck with it.

3” main Pontiac other than the splined hemi snout.

Yes sir that's some pretty serious looking stuff there. Your group has hit the design issues hard. Great job.

We have had some minor issues with the stock Pontiac crank snout and the stock timing cover. That was an area that needed improvement for a serious blower application. Those parts look very nice and HD. The skirted billet block, flat oil pan and elimination of the complex fitment of the stock timing cover really opened up the design parameters for the front of the engine. Very cool.

I hope it’s tough, cause I’m gonna try to push the crank right out the bottom.😏

The yellowbullet link posted earlier was the 8 degree heads for my N/A car. The 10 degree heads with the larger intake ports go on the funny car.

Hopefully both will be running this year.

3 fast, so what kind of engine is the NA one going to be ? High effort high RPM deal ? I know Dave was looking for someone who wanted to build one.
Maybe the 8 degree heads on a IA2 ? Big single 4 lake Dave was talking about?

You have more high end Pontiac irons in the fire than anyone I know of. Its going to be fun seeing it all done and how far they can be pushed.
69 GTOs are the best looking ones IMO.
Thanks for all the pics BTW.

Billet timing cover/crank support/accessory mount...
And more than a quantity of one...

This is the N/A engine Dave was talking about. Solid aluminum IA2 block, 560”, 2200 cfm single Kinsler throttle body with port nozzles. It’s at BES waiting on the crank.

Very cool, you don't see many high rpm, high effort na engines running alcohol.

I know nothing about making a block like that. Afterwards do you own the rights to its design?
