The machinist doing the 428 is a friend of mine and is recovering from breaking his neck. It’s not far from being done but I’m not pressuring him at all. He has bigger problems than me. SD |

First pics I have seen of the new block. Looks nice. From the pic, it looks like a Pontiac crankshaft may fit in there? I only say that because you stayed with #4 for the thrust bearing. Are you planning an enlarged nose for the blower drive loads? Or do I remember you saying you wee going to use the current spline drive the big show cars are using? Again good luck with it.

Yes sir that's some pretty serious looking stuff there. Your group has hit the design issues hard. Great job.

We have had some minor issues with the stock Pontiac crank snout and the stock timing cover. That was an area that needed improvement for a serious blower application. Those parts look very nice and HD. The skirted billet block, flat oil pan and elimination of the complex fitment of the stock timing cover really opened up the design parameters for the front of the engine. Very cool.

Maybe the 8 degree heads on a IA2 ? Big single 4 lake Dave was talking about? You have more high end Pontiac irons in the fire than anyone I know of. Its going to be fun seeing it all done and how far they can be pushed. 69 GTOs are the best looking ones IMO. Thanks for all the pics BTW. |

Billet timing cover/crank support/accessory mount...
And more than a quantity of one...

I know nothing about making a block like that. Afterwards do you own the rights to its design?
