Think maybe you build car to engine capability OR work a deal with someone you trust to test your engine in their race car. I've done the latter. A friend with an altered. Tested my street/strip motor at end of his race season.
I actually enjoyed watching. He was surprised how strong my NA 440 combo was. |

I would not ever even think about building a engine of mine and letting someone else run it in their car. Its my baby.
Its a 69 GTO and not getting holes cut in firewall period. I have my eye on a couple cars I could buy. But am liking the idea of turning a 68-69 2 door Chevelle into a GTO and using my rear. I have no problem cutting up a chevy. The cam required to make 900+ HP with E heads might be quite large. Dont want severely decreased valve spring life or risk breaking any T&D ex rockers. Mike broke some. I do have 2 extra intake and ex rockers though. It depends on what Scott Brown says. I trust his opinion. Marcellas too. |

The reason I ask it's not so much of a big deal to cut a seating angle with stones, but trying to blend the top to the chamber and bottom angle to the bowl. What about your heads? ![]() Calvin Hill Hill Performance 708-250-7420 |

I'll pull up the pictures and post them from the E heads I reworked in 2012 that you did, must have been one of your "budget" customers. I know I have them as they are a great example of when you put a bigger valve in, but just touch off the heads with a set of stones. Calvin Hill Hill Performance 708-250-7420 |

Calvin you should cheer up! I checked your horoscope and it says you are about to win a large sum of money. You'll be able to afford a second cutter for doing valve jobs. I'd suggest a radius shape, they work very well on the exhaust side. ![]() You must've been really impressed with those heads to be obsessing over them since 2012 and to take a bunch of pictures. Or are they the only heads you've done in the last five years? Don't you think the name calling is a little childish? Don't strain your eyes studying my Facebook page, I'd be happy to take you through the shop if you're ever in the area. |

Calvin, I'm confused...are stones good or bad or are you kissing Slowbirds azz hoping he'll let you study his heads?

Yes, I feel bad for Keith too.
I did the heads 4-5 years ago. Since that time he broke a crankshaft, an IA block, had bent valves, broken guides, burned up a head running alcohol. He reached out to me a few weeks back, I told him I would look at them, but he decided to go another route. He's had a couple different shops work on them over the past few years. Said they were pressure tested last year with no issues. I looked up what he paid me for the heads when he bought them, right at $4,000 complete ready to bolt on. Kinda hard to believe the heads aren't fixable, most aluminum heads can be repaired. Calvin Hill Hill Performance 708-250-7420 |
