So, I bought the cam...
200r4 tranny, 3.73 gear, 2400 convertor, 455 at 30/30 and +30 over have 96 heads mildly ported, 6X4 mildly ported /2.11 intake, or 13 (1970) heads always use 94 octane fuel. 1970 Gto Auto I have 1.65 and 1.5 roller rockers What I would like to hear from you is what head should use with what rocker. Short block will not change, Cam will not change Auto/gears/rear will not change. I do have rhodes lifters as well as Summit ones. I'm open to low buck go fast solutions. Please advise. Daniel. |

I think either the 96 or 6x would work great and 91-91 octane would be fine. The 13's will work the tune would have to be spot on & 94 octane +

6X-4 or 96s with standard 1.5:1 rockers. D-port Pontiac head doesn't flow much over .500".
Rhodes lifters aren't necessary with the 2802 114 LSA and your 455 cubic inches. It will idle like a stocker. If you are using headers try the 1.65 rockers on the intakes first then the exhaust. |

Same cam here on a +0.030 400. I am running the #13's but they have been ported some and the chambers cleaned up... 77cc. I haven't had any issues, but with a 455 could get dicey. I did have to change my advance curve somewhat with the 2802. Went with 14 initial and total of 34 all in around 3100rpm. Combo did not like a quick advance curve. I am also running ported vac advance 12deg. Has a good strong even pull.
