I am considering reproducing the impossible to find 1965 2+2 quarter panel emblems. Limited production units would be manufactured out of cast metal, utilizing a triple chrome process and released in bolt-on condition. I am gauging the interest in this one year only part and what PY members would consider to be a fair price for a pair of these emblems.
Thanks, Fred

Wow that sounds great I know there hard to find in decent shape Brillion trillion's wanted $800 for a so called Nos quarter panel emblems just crazy prices I used the one's that came on my car but it would be nice to get these emblems reproduced and for a fair price. Keep up the good work I wish the manufactures would try to reproduce grilles and the famous tail panel but that's a hope and a prayer got to dream big!

I would add the 4-speed console to your 1965 2+2 tail panel and grill wish list. All require considerable effort and expense to tool up due to size and complexity. I have been searching for the 65 2+2 quarter panel emblems for years, with no luck within my budget limitations. After much research I have found a mold for these one year only emblems and a quality chrome shop able produce NOS quality small production runs. If there is enough interest, I could probably produce these emblems for retail sale in the neighborhood of $150/pair.

I viewed the first raw castings last week (4/2/15). Small initial batch produced. Must verify stud integrity and placement. Also need to check for shrinkage due to casting process. Looks promising so far. I will update this thread after pending triple chrome run. Small local shop is slammed with work, so it may be a few weeks before the next thread update. Please stand by...

To the best of my knowledge, the 1965 2+2 (one year only) quarter panel emblems have been "discontinued" by Ames for many years. The only quarter panel 2+2 emblems listed in the current Ames big car catalog are for the 1967 2+2 (Part# PJ107M). Good luck on the one year only 65 tail panel Patrick!
