Yes for a bore and ring seal. Not a piston or combustion chamber coating.

IMO, the coatings in its self will not show a measurable gain. But thats very much the same with other changes that are made to an engine.
I also look at coatings very much like other methods used in altering the surface finish. In some cases polishing or smoothing can be replaced with a top coating. That coating can reduce oil drag by changing the grain within the material. Calvin Hill Hill Performance 708-250-7420 |

I had a coating that worked like magic, Scotchguard. With kids it saved my couch so many times, wasn't any quicker though...
