The gap that used be between N/A and NOS and even Tubo cams has gotten a lot closer over the last few year - at least thats what I have been shown, and by the why, there is a NOS specific Carb - Call Dale Cubic and he can explain it to you as I dont remeber the details. Carry on

Sure is, where are you at?

Exhaust valve open longer sounds like duration to me?
(from EVO to EVC)

Nothing to do with LSA?

Beer Pong would more appropriate, both young and old can participate.

For nitrous I just use a higher ratio exhaust rocker arm and a RAIV cam.

To get this thread back on topic, Ray glad to hear your making upgrades and changing things up. Wish you the best in 2014! Enjoyed visiting with you and your son last year during NMCA races!

John while talking to tony about the heads he is going to do for me he said it will make "a little less HP" being set up for nitrous because the cam and the chambers are both different. I have no idea what the cam is only repeating what Tony said. So there must be some differance on a nitrous cam.

It will depend on the exh valve size but yes, it will want more duration. The optimum exh closing will be a little earlier assuming the exh system is the same and the exh opening will be sooner. I don't know the details of your heads but a 10-20 deg increase in seat to seat exh duration over an optimized NA event would be reasonable.

Assuming your int valve is 2.40" and exh is 1.75" or so, I'm surprised you're not run a larger difference in seat to seat timing now.

You can label the cam whatever you want. A 50% increase in mass flow using the same exh port and valve will want more duration (earlier EVO) for optimum performance.

I'm out ...

286/318 on a 117. Ray, you have to soften up the chambers and reduce compression on the naz compared to n/a. There is a ton you can do with cam profiles.

I am sure there is a lot that can be done,I plan on doing whatever Tony recommends. First 2 races will be with the old motor. But I do have a few new parts for it that should make it more interesting.
