Damn, I knew I should of logged on here instead of watching the new Rodeo Girls reality TV show.
Come to think of it, really the same type of drama here and in the show. Except on the show they promised bikini barrel racing next week. On here I have to wait until spring to see any track results...from some guys anyway...the rest will just keep talking. |

I don't think anyone doubts they will work fine, they just won't be within reach of most people money wise to really matter on the Pontiac scene.
I'm sure Jack will put down a great number, I just hope he also lays down the price number so he doesn't mislead the dreamers who think they can buy these heads and build an engine around them. The cost of these heads and subsequent cost to finish such a build is the main deal breaker of ever being relevant to the Pontic masses |

What heads up classes are out there that these units could be ran in? Are not billet units a no no in most venues?

Wow so many responses for such a little question. I didn't say he didn't port your heads lol I was merely asking. Just because someone owns the company the heads are done at doesn't always mean they are the guy that does the work. Lots of top engine shops have a head porter and the owner handles the details of the build. Don't get butt hurt lol. Good luck on the build. Man if I had your $$ I'd burn mine lol

The cost of these heads are cheap compared to the cost of building a car capable enough and safe enough to handle the power to be made. You guys talk about high horsepower heads and engines when 90% of the people out there don't have a car that can handle that amount of power. Even a 9 second car would need over 20K put into it in upgrades to be able to use ANY high horsepower head on the market.

Had a chance to see the heads and touch the ports and get the warm and fuzzy feeling in person. The heads looked great, especially when they said clearly that they were "far from finished", their words. I thought they looked extremely close. Because Visner has ports that are already proven, they can package them in a "Pontiac Box" and you have an instantly proven great Pontiac head. As far as valvetrain geometry, their most popular head is a late model hemi for Austrailan Pro-Stock and that valve train is crazy complicated. Their work is beautiful and Mr. Visner and the gentleman I spoke to who cut the heads was very forthcoming about details. These guys give all the indications that these heads will work and be "low drama". Congratulations to Jack. If you can't find or buy what you are looking for, you go out and make them yourself. You are a doer not a complainer.

Anyone can buy these heads I did not ask or want them to be just a one off set just for me. That would not move Pontiac forward as we need it to.

Lil,
Five years ago, you were having trouble keeping that ill-handling beast off the wall. Any more horsepower or any less weight would have only made your problems worse. Now that you have written a check to get your chassis fixed, another check for a motor and yet another check to get your nitrous tune, you made ONE 7 second pass and think you are "all that". Narcissism at it's best. My car has never weighed only 3000 lbs. and you know that. However, the first season out with a new untested car, we went 7's at every track we attended. Those included: Brainerd, Rock Falls, Cedar Falls, Byron, Cordova and Norwalk. No matter how "bad" the air was or how "bad" the track prep was, we still went 7's. Good luck with your new heads. They look really nice. Just quit bashing my program - 'cause you ain't there yet. Dick Fulton |

Most of the local heads up classes around here you could probably run quad over head cams with 6 valves per cylinder! lol
