Default Going to look at a 62 tomorrow.

Got a call from a friend today. His neighbor has passed & family is selling everything. Susposed to be a 62 2 dr LeMans, 4 cyl, stick shift car. All body work is done, new brakes, suspension, trans. New interior. Motor is brand new never fired up. Front fenders & hood are still off of the car. Lots of box's of parts. $1200.00 OBO Was told they will take 900 cash! Taking my camera to get some pics.

Also was contacted by a guy here in Az.who is pro-streeting both a 62 & 63 converts. Complete drivetrains will be available to me. 62 is a 4.4.4 car,,63 is a 4,4,2 car!! 62 is an 87Z motor, dont know about the 63 yet. Cant wait to see them!! Decisions, decisions!!! I think I need more storage room!

OK,,Saw the car today. Boy was my friend mis-informed! Needs brakes, suspension work & interior!! Hood & front fenders are clean & straight some parts in primer. Body of the car looks straight with no rust or dents visible. Car is light blue with a black interior. 62 Lemans. Factory A/C car but the coolpac is missing/still at last owners house. Saw the motor. Its a 89Z motor. All brand new assembled on a stand. 1bbl carb. Looks ready to bolt in. I dont know who assembled it, (assume last owner) (he died) But I do know the shop that performed all the machine work. I take all my stuff there & have confidence in their work. The guy wants $1000 cash for everything. Probably has well over $2500 just in the motor. Motor is very nicely detailed & looks pure stock. Anodized carb, everything looks new, not refurbished. Needs a lot more than I first thought. I may still get it but dont need another parts car right now. Transaxle is still in the car. Its a 4 speed according to the shift knob! If I can get these pictures out of my old Kodak, I will post them up!

Sounds to be worth the money as a parts car, if nothing else.

Looks a lot worse than it is. Everything is there except the cool pac A/C under the dash. Front clip is in the shop in the pictures, in primer. Grill & radiator is behind the motor. Flywheel & dist on the bottom of the motor stand. Trunk is full of parts

Surface rust from sun burnt paint!! 62 front clip. I looked close at the front frame rails & inner fenderwells, no signs of ever being hit in the front. Has a crease low on drivers door, not deep, easy fix. Seats are not to bad. Needs a headliner. Horn ring looks mint. Everything for the clutch is there including pedals & linkages.

I think I am going to put this one back together Mark!! Have a couple other bodys if ya want ton. 4 cyl 4 speeds are getting rare. Going to try and save this one. The guy even tossed in the nifty roll around motor stand. Got to get a spot cleared out in the back yard before it can come home. Be a week or 2 before that happens. You're truck & trailer still available?
