Default 1969 RAIV Firebird on E-Bay

This one should be interesting to see what it goes for, especially without the matching block or trans, it's in pretty rough shape, and a bit of an odd color combo being Verdoro Green with a Deluxe Gold interior.

Saw it earlier today and it has already moved up quickly. Definitely a serious project.

Could be a great project for someone. Color is not bad when done nice.
Not a fan of the int. color.

I would have to look at that one in person, though. The rear frame rails always concern me on project early F bodies. It is certainly worth fixing if needed on that car, but the work involved would have to be considered.

I can't read the PHS very well, but the first impression of the interior is that it might be a leather interior.

Being from Kentucky and Tenn, the frame and cowl areas should be in real good shape for the restoration. Worth saving for sure.

Rear frame rails are good in that car. It really isn't as bad in some ways as it looks in pictures. Don't get me wrong, it is a major project that needs a complete restoration. I've fixed worse cars that were not as rare.

These are always my favorites. They get all excited to sell their rare car on EvilBay and take crappy blurry pictures and post them. Then the description reads like a four year old wrote it.

Not everyone gets all excited to put rare cars on ebay. I'm glad my auction got your attention!

For whoever buys it, can put you in contact with a good friend who has some really nice original gold seats, & other nice gold interior parts.

Interior 212 is Gold Deluxe Buckets -comfort weave.
Leather is code 293

As much as i don't know about 69 Birds - wondering if 02-D build date is of 1969 or 1970 ?

Feb 69 would be in one of the earliest IV Birds built category.

Carnut could you post a full view version of the Invoice for us ?
Don't need the fulll VIN - but all digits except last 2 or 3 would be helpful - if you could. Would like to see if it might have been a PMD demo driver, and when it was sold/shipped/invoiced.

Thanks and good luck with the sale, even though you won't really need much luck.
Very rare plus 4 speed, colors are soft but aren't a full kiss of death.
Looks pretty solid overall.

Cool car!

I'd also like to see the dealer code/zones for the car.

O2 D would be Feb 69,that car was built at the Lordstown plant.Production at Lordstown was switched over to Norwood in early 69 so Vega's could be built at the Lordstown plant.Firebirds were built along with Camaro's at Norwood until sometime in November of 69.

Wow, that will be a great car.

I can't remember ever seeing a Verdoro green Firebird with a gold interior, but I always thought that combo would look great together.

This Bird has a great color combo!
Verdoro green has gold undertones which works great with the gold interior.
Neat car.

Agreed, Rich!

Mike, why do you think it's an odd combo? I can remember a time in my life when I wore a forest green sweater with khakis - is this any different?

I've seen a fair number of voodoo birds with gold interiors, although most have been 68s. I think the 68 gold was a different shade than the 69. In 69 it seemed closer to just being a saddle color.

Interesting project car.
