Why would they remove them when the website claims it went faster than this whole thread mentions with them on? And why change the crank from 4.250 to 4.210?

... and if remember correctly, there was an issue with the crank-snout and something else with the thrust, but it's been awhile, i will have to find out from Roland to be 100% ... it was a used crank i believe also ... ... the tune on that car has been +12 on the fuel many times before ... which is not good, they are getting a handle on it now and have started using less N20 and they are working there way up a little at a time ... |

Raceshop heads were an unfortunate mistake in the program... They didnt flow what we were told they flow etc.. At least 2 years ago and Jim cut ties and went a new direction. There was plenty of discussion on the boards. Wasnt pretty and certainly wasnt hidden. I've seen some of that work and even I could do better, which aint sayin much.
The Web site does need updating... no question there. Some things on cv channel were just copied from Roland Racing site which also needs updating in those areas. |

I aint sayin what the 60 ft or 1/8th was. Tranny problems included broken input shaft, spare trans hurt, spragueless convertor "blew thru" ... losing the 4500's and using 4150's was big change. |

I really don't care about the speculation part (not trying to be an a$$) and I would hope that the incrementials on the front half would be steller at 28-2900lbs...just sayin. I know plenty of cars that front half like a mutha phucka but ain't got chit out the back. Just look at some of the 8.50 index cars that run around here. They are a wolf in sheeps' clothing. Most of those cars are 8 teen----8.20 cars that are turned down. You saying, "I aint sayin what the 60 ft or 1/8th was", is like saying I have a secret, but I'm not telling. If you aren't going to say it, then please keep it to yourself. We posted Jack's times...don't know why the other camp wouldn't. That is why I asked that "someone in the know" could advise...thanks

Are you saying they posted the 1000' ET and not the 1320' ET?

I 110% agree with you Calvin, all I meant to say was his car compares nicely to Holmes if you want to compare performance between the two heads.

I can tell you why mine weighs what it does: I built it at home in my garage and I MIG weld and I don't TIG weld. I also happen to think a mild steel chassis is safer and easier to work with than chromoly. If the Holmes car in question here is the white car that Jeff Sams used to run for Arnie out of Tucson, I'm pretty sure it was mild steel. It's been around so long, maybe chromoly wasn't invented yet. It was changed and added to and modified many times over the years and the 2800-2900# sounds just about right to me. Jim

Lil Jack can you answer a question for me?
What first hand experience & knowledge do you have with the CV-1 cylinder heads that you base all of the riff-raff on? Seriously, have your fingers even touched any of them before you started on this crusade? Also has anyone made claim to say that all other heads are junk? I have E heads & CV-1's and have been very happy with the CV-1 heads and feel they have a very good future for our Pontiacs. Just curious where your facts come from
