I like too. Sure would make a great modern day Pie Wagon. LOL

That 66 daac dash pad doesn't look all that bad. Besides, nobody but a honest to goodness Pontiac guy would know the difference. Tho most of the "Off Brand" guys would on the 5 speed in it.... and that's a no brainer.

Overal Jeff, that is one sharp lookin 65 Bonneville wagon.

Now find me a 71 GTO wagon. And yes, there were 121 made in 71.... LeMans wagon with factory installed 71 GTO appearance package A friend of mine back in 73 when I was in Rochester, NY had a 71 GTO wagon. How he got it he wouldn't tell.... but it was the real deal. If you don't believe me about 71 GTO wagons, ask Jim Hand.

John Wacholz made one. They did not exist as GTO wagons, but as GTO look alike wagons with many of the same options.

The rear speaker w/reverb is the same as the rear speaker w/o reverb. No 'metal housing' that I'm aware of.

Default Wagons

No GTO wagons period. Ever. Ask Jim Mattison, this has been discussed dozens of times right here on PY. The Endura option on wagons was available in 1971/'72, and they could be built with everything but GTO emblems, no 455 H. O. possible, as there was no provision for dual exhaust and no federal certification for emissions with a single exhaust 455 H.O. was engineered. Here's my 1972 LeMans "Sport" Wagon. 400 CID/TH400 4BBL set up.

I wondered who's wagon that was a Dayton. That's a cool car, my wife loves it, The kid's thought it was awesome, and I'd have it in a heartbeat.

On non- convts. plain rear speaker was located in the package tray. The reverb speakers were put in the metal housing between the rear seats. At least that is the way the factory did it on my cars.

On some of the big cars, i.e. Grand Prix's for example, the rear speaker was in that 'metal housing' w/o reverb IIRC. And all A bodies had the rear speaker in the package tray, with our w/o reverb.

Mine are Bonnnevilles with non-reverb speaker in Pkg tray & my GP has reverb in the center. Wagon rear speaker on the curved section of the cargo area side compartment.

You are correct it did not sell. As they say "the bid continues"
