Don't they have a Friday night heads up deal 10" tire?

I talked to Lil Jack about it and need to find out more about it . It's a normal track event for them I think?

Talking ...

On second thought this might be more fun than running heads up against a bunch of Pontiacs.....we get to try and beat up other brands ...that works for me...I will be there early Fri with my boys from Charlotte...

looks like a 295 x 65 r15 drag radial, unless you are going to run naturaly aspirated lil jack?? it says 10.5" wide dot or slick for a power adder.

Why don't the guys who are pounding thier chests put the money up? If you think your that bad and can take all the money then "PUT UP OR SHUT UP"! I had someone crying because they had to pay the event entry fee to run the race.

OK, here's my interpretation on the tire rules:

1.) If you are running a power adder, you are limited to a 10.5" wide (measured at the tread) by 30" tall tire, regardless if it is a slick or a radial.

2.) If you are naturally aspirated, you can run any height tire you want, but the width is limited to 10.5" for a slick and 12.0" for a radial (measured at the tread).

3.) All tires must carry a DOT rating.

Make sure your tire measures up as listed and there'll be no problems.

I sent an e-mail to the VMP tech director with the following questions. Will post when i get a result.

The tire rule.
1: What size M/T drag radial is allowed. I run a 295/65/15. Are 315’s allowed ?
2: Do you have to run a DOT ET Street type tire only or are 10.5 X 29.5 X 15 M/T slicks allowed ?
3: Does this class require a diaper?
4: Does the car have to be taggged or insured for this class?
5: I see 1/8th mile right?
