i agree there should be discution about the 2005. it's all about trying to help eachother with the best deal for what you want. this is my feeling, but i have a feeling the new 2005 GTO's are going to sell better than the 2004 so i feel that the price will be about the same new value before they realized there would be a lack of sales on the 2004 wich is around 32-33k so if you really want that extra 50hp and are willing to pay the full price go for it. i herd the trans trans is supposed to be a little better than the 2004 plus bigger brakes and the non functional hood scoop everyone want. but if you want a bad ass + practical car for the cost, go for the 2004. personally i want the 2004 cause you can get good deals on because of low sale plus if your gund hoe you can always add a super charge for probably around 3k, since it is a universal engine you will have many options for upgrades. i like what they did with the 2004, but what i wish they'ld do with the 2005 is have hood scoops sunk in to the hood instead of the bulge out ones and make them functional too since there is no point to fake hood scoops if they don't serve a purpose. thats why i'm not too keen on mustangs. they have more looks but the looks aren't functional, so stay real and encourage the GTO production because it will only get better and more functional if sales go ok

Don't hold your breath. I've been asking to have the 70-74 Ventura topic title changed to 71-74 Ventura for several months now. Obviously there was not even a 1970 Ventura produced, but the webmaster must not monitor this site or he/she doesn't know how to change the topic titles.

GTORIC,
I think you could get a Ventura in Canada starting in '68. It was called an Acadian. Actually the Acadian was out in '62 based off the Nova, but they dropped the Acadian name and went with Ventura in 70 or 71.
There is a factory 396 '69 Acadian for sale I saw. That would be a rare car indeed.

I think that there should be a topic devoted to all Canadian-built Pontiac hybrids. The US B-bodies had a trim package designated "Ventura" during most of the '60s. That's why the '71-'72 Pontiac X-bodies were named Ventura II. I think that the X-body Acadian changed to Ventura II in 1971 when Pontiac added the X-body to its US lineup. There still should be a topic covering the Canadian models, because the early X-bodies ('62 -'69) don't have a home here.
By the way, there is a 1966 Acadian powered by the 327/350hp small block here in the Detroit area. That is a rare and really neat muscle car!
