Here is a picture of a car I found on Ebay that has the same sandalwood interior as mine. The dash pad, kick panel, pillar posts and visors are all a darker color than the rest of the sandalwood...

My GTO has the holes drilled for the edge guards & I have them on now, but they are pretty dinged up. If you don't plan on using yours, I might be interested in buying them, as they were factory...

I've been looking through all the parts catalogs I have, and nobody seems to have the door edge guards for a 1970 GTO. It's rare for a GTO to have these & that's probably why they are not listed in...

Another way to protect the trunk and floor pans from rust is to coat it with Por15 (Year One sells it). I did this on my GTO years ago & have never had a rust problem. You can then paint over it...
