My GTO has the holes drilled for the edge guards & I have them on now, but they are pretty dinged up. If you don't plan on using yours, I might be interested in buying them, as they were factory...

Another way to protect the trunk and floor pans from rust is to coat it with Por15 (Year One sells it). I did this on my GTO years ago & have never had a rust problem. You can then paint over it...
