I had my 71 LeMans out for the first time on Sunday. Didn't put on 172 miles like you did, but the 20 miles I put on mine felt real good.

No air out of the dash vents

When I turn on the a/c or vent controls I don't get any air out of the vents. Could this be one or both of the a/c vacuum actuators? How can I find out if this is the problem? Thanks for you help...

1971 am radio and speaker

My radio hasn't worked for about 20 years and I suspected it was the in dash speaker. I found some scrap speaker wire and a old speaker and put one set of wire on the 2 tabs on the external speaker...

Thanks for the advice. I had to replace the inners so there are no holes for the staples. I am going to make a cardboard template first since I will have to drill the holes.

I had the same problem in my 71. Check to see if the bolts that attach the bumper mounting brackets to the frame are tight. Be carefull that the bumper dosn't nose up or down because it will chip...
