Factory a/c controls 67 GTO

My controls and others that I have seen do not have an A/C or Air setting. Did they just use the vent setting?

Darn boot clips

posted this in Techs with no response. Thought i would try here

I have the boot cover with the clips. Not worth anything. While I was at the BOPC show I was next to a 69 cutlass thats boot cover...

Converted from a M20 to TKO 600 last month. Got it from the classic chevy people. They have great instructions with pics of a bunch of cars.

I have a 390 gear and at 80 I am running 2000 rpms....

Disc Brakes

On the frame off we installed new Stainless Steel Disc Brakes all the way around on my 67 GTO. They have never really worked right. You have to put them on hard and they are scarier than the drums...

Here is one problem
May have a M20. He is checking the numbers now. He thinks it is the wide ratio which would be m20?
Questioned him a bit on chamber...

Like I said, I am a novice at this , all my info is coming from the guy that built the engine. I really do think the engine is much much stronger post rebuild. Starts well,not rich or lean ,no smoke....

I have found a direct relationship between price...

I have found a direct relationship between price and quality in Paint jobs. Also depends on what you are starting with. I have a good guy in Blue Ridge but he will be between 3 and 10 grand...

Does anyone know what the stainless trim piece on the top surface of the door(outside the window) is called on a 67 GTO convertible? Is it available? Mine is splitting behind the vent window.Thanks

Considering changing to a 3.73 gear from a 3.23 for more power off the line. I dont race but feel lacking in power. Can I get some help on advantages / disadvantages? Will it make a big difference *-

Drove the car up to Pigeon Forge this weekend. 67 GTO 400. About 600 miles round trip. Lots of mountain driving. Particularly on the way back over Clingmans Dome,5000 feet up and 5000 down. Noticed...

Clear Fuel Filters

Ok, on advice of a buddy I installed a clear fuel filter in front of my quadra jet. Made Sense. Since then, all I have heard is fire horror stories and I am re thinking. How about some more opinions.

Follow up

It appears it was the sending unit. Pressure fine now. New issue though

Oil is black in color after 100 miles. Is this normal for a newly built engine?
