Has anyone converted their 4 speed to 5 speed?
I was looking at the May 2007 addition of Hemmings Muscle Machine mag. There was an article about converting your 4-speed to a more fuel-efficient
5-speed. Question: 1. WHo has converted their 4-speed to a 5-speed? 2. What did you use to convert the 4-speed? 3. How do you like it? fb66 |

I converted from column shift auto to 4spd and eventually to 5spd TKO600.
I used a kit from Classic Chevy 5 Speed (www.classicchevy5speed.com). Best modification I've done so far. There have been several threads on the subject if you do a search.

Converted from a M20 to TKO 600 last month. Got it from the classic chevy people. They have great instructions with pics of a bunch of cars.
I have a 390 gear and at 80 I am running 2000 rpms. Before the conversion I was at 4500rpms |

TKO600 was the best mod I did to my '66....... Awesome in every way.
