Yes the backs are 17x 9.5. I wish I had gone with a bigger rear rim. 17 inch tires sizes are limited on hieght. I like to run a 28 inch tall tire but most options are 26

Ponjohn its in the car running havent raced it yet, the 4.5 stroke setup im running is much smoother and quieter than my 4.25 setup was.

I just built a 496 with the butler kit, call them up and ask about 4.5 cranks and combos, they will tell you everything you need to know.

i have a 3.5 system with x and welded ultra flo reduced to 3 inch at the mufflers nice and quiet, it sounds very different with the tailpipes in a good way.

I had shaker455 tune the dominator for my last motor and it idled at 800 in drive. Just as smooth as my 850 holley so it should be a close starting point.
