Most folks don’t want an idle speed of 12-1500. Even the factory put smaller WP pulleys on the A/C cars vs non A/C cars.

Cliff's CPOs are made to his spec and correctly timed. Try your carb "as is" and see if it's satisfactory...if not, switch to Cliff's plastic one if it'll fit..

I'd try 2 things before deciding to swap heads....first, I'd try richening up the carb a bit and see if that helps. The other thing I'd try would be to switch to a 160degree t-stat if you've not...

Got the Q-jet back together after refinishing....

Got the Q-jet back together after refinishing. Made a deal for a HSD intake.....not sure yet what to do with it.....it's excellent....brand new even.....no box but obviously never used.
