Default Hays 13-230 Flywheel

I've got a 76 400 with the 2.5" (2.49) register. Will a Hays 13-230 Flywheel with 166 teeth and 2.49" register hole be a correct flywheel for my 76 400? I've seen listings for this for 76 455's but not 400's. I also don't see many 13-230's for sale. I'm running the HD Muncie 3 spd.

Pretty sure I use that same flexplate on a 78 W72 400, would have to check the part#. Most sellers show not available with limited application info, but form what I can see it says 76+ 400/455 engines and if the 2.49" size matches your 2.49 register crank... it should work OK.

Okay, thanks. I am actually leaning towards using the original flywheel from my 71 350... It has a 2.75" register hole and my 400 crank has the 2.49 hole. But I just ordered the spacer ring from Butler so I can use the original 71 flywheel. Hopefully no issues or unforeseen potholes...
