Default I never cared for the way Pontiac ran the 1/4" return fuel line on the 61-64 A/C cars

As stated, I never liked the return fuel line from the fuel filter. The way it ran down the valve cover and down the back of the motor. Taking the nod from a 65 A/C GTO I decided to run my return line down the frame instead. I bought the long return line from Ames. It stops just past the firewall and turns upward. I cut it just before the upturn and gave the line a little nudge towards passenger side of the car and made my own return line to mate up to it. I'm hoping by the time I get the vacuum booster, master cylinder, steering box with coupler installed & all the clutch linkage in, no one will see my brass union down there. And yes, the brake line to the master cylinder clears and the coupling at the steering column will clear by 1/4", and the upper A arm will clear through its full travel. I hope I have all my bases covered. I had to use the cheap baby tubing bender to get in there and give the main line that little nudge.
