Re-print of the Hi-Rank manual
While researching a H-M question for a guy with a '54 Chevy truck, I came across an add on AutoTrans' web site saying they had spiral bound re-print of Hi-Rank's 1963 manual "THE HYDRO - Building THE HYDRO for STREET and STRIP". They will also sell a .PDF file of the manual. This book is considered the best reference for making performance improvements to a dual-range Hydra-Matic trans. Jack Gifford, our forum HM performance guru uses one.
Look here: http://www.autotran.us/hmparts1.html The last time I looked (10+ years ago), originals from the early 60s were going for around $100 and were pretty fragile (mine was getting crispy).

Thank for the link Bill. I wasn't aware of AutoTrans. Glad they offer the Hi-Rank book.
