1971 Sells for 120k on BAT
Did you see that 1971 Lucy Blue 4speed sell for $120,000!! Had the wrong fenders, wrong fan shroud and some funky ware and tare but was an otherwise nice car with Matching #s. Crazy high!

Looks like a very nice car. This is a perfect exam p e that a car doesn't need to be 100% factory to look nice and bring big bucks.

Pretty amazing... especially with the ugly side marker lights carved into the side if it.

More like the typical example of a couple drunken big ego fools caught up trying to out bid each other on national TV. Just as possible to get caught up bidding on a website. Once noted several big component issues, then the presentation from the turntable & off white room, no way, got to be smarter.

Looks like a nice car, but those small details that are missing really add up. I'm surprised it went as high as it did.

Very original car and the 471 is not as rare as you think ,I’ve had a few of these 70TAs with the trim ring option ,including a couple RAIV 4spds . Though I do prefer the non-trim ring look

My 70 TA had trim rings, Code 471. As well as a sandlewood custom interior. Honestly in the 1979-1991 time frame I owned it, those items got very little attention or comment. The 4-speed with AC drew more comments than the trim items. But that may have had more to do with the time frame. There were a fair number of the 70-73 TA's still being used regularly on the weekends for cruising. Not quite the prized possessions they are now.
