Default My 1964 GTO 1:24 Scale Diorama. Inherited from my Father. One of his builds.

As i've posted on here before, my Dad owned several 64,66, and 67 GTOs in his life, along with many other GM muscle cars. He wasn't a Ford guy until later in his life. Even as he got older, he still had a deep passion for anything and everything GTO related. I've shown many of the 1:18 scale models I got from my Dad, but he actually built probably close to 100 1:24/25 scale GTO models for pleasure. He made so many different combinations of GTOs with a different formula for each as he started to get tired of building the same old model over and over again.

Anyways, I found this neat little gem today and decided to put it all together as a diorama since he put all the extra pieces in the case with the car. Just wanted to share it with you guys since I really enjoyed how detailed and creative it is and thought some of you might find it pretty cool too.

Nice! I started with models progressed to bikes, riding lawnmowers then cars.

Very cool - it takes a lot of time and patience to build to that level.

Awesome!
One little detail update I'd make.... the hood would be sitting on the roof, with a blanket underneath. Because the way these sorts of things went for me and my friends back in the day, someone would step on the hood or trip over it while carrying a cylinder head

Thats awesome, although I think I would put the crank back in the motor before attempting a jumpstart

Seriously though, that is a great settup. I have dozens of models I built when I was a kid stored in the basement. I have been wanting to 'restore' them in a fashion like you have there. Every time I think I have time something comes up. Maybe some day.

Thanks guys! I'll always be thankful for my Dad for giving me a love and knowledge for cars. I'm working on my Mustang now, but I also sell a bunch of 1:18 diecast and 1:24 plastic/diecast models and for every 15 or so I sell I treat myself with 2-3 cars. I still have around 100+ cars and memorabilia.

Here's my favorite 1:18 GTOs/Pontiacs I have plus a bunch of random 1:24 built model I have. Also a look into the start of the build of my Mustang.

A bunch of 1:24s I have...

Still building a stockpile of mods for my Mustang to be installed soon...

Thanks guys, I replied with a post showing some of my other 1:24 handmade models, and some of my favorite 1:18 diecast GTOs/Pontiacs I have. Just waiting for it to be approved by a Mod.
