65 dash mount vac gauge.
I picked up a box full of 65 and 66 gauges and housings for full size cars. In the mix was a 65 ( round ) vacuum gauge and chrome housing. Does this replace the optional clock? Is this an option on a column shift bench seat car? Is this a Canadian only option? Don't have any pics right now. Part is 1000 miles away.
Thanks in advance. |

Not too sure, but nice find. I haven't seen many of those.

Thought it was kinda cool. I have heard of them but never actually owned one. It will replace the clock in my Catalina.

Are we sure it would be mounted on the dash? Everyone I've ever seen was on the console.

Canadian cars offered the small vacuum gauge option replacing the clock in the '65s

Cool, never saw one.
Does anyone have one to show?

I'll stand corrected if I'm wrong, but I think the vacuum gauge was standard fit but only on the Custom Sport models.
Custom Sports had a console with a large clock in the centre. Just forward of the gear selector. A Tach (if ordered) was located next to the speedometer same as a US built car.

I agree with Heybuck. I looked at buying a Custom Sport a few years back and it had the Vac guage on the console. I posted photos back then. Will see if I can post it here.
