Intermediate harness to dash harness connections
Hey guys, it's been about 6 year's since I took all this apart and memory is failing me.
I'm working on a 68 GTO vert and I really would love to see some pictures of where wiring harness passes the fuse box and where the 2 wires for the convertible top motor are routed. The 2 wires for the top appear to have a plastic retaining strip 3 inches long and 2 screws holes wrapped around them. Thanks for the help Pontiacers,Rick |

Or even a good explanation of what side of the fuse box the wiring runs and where the plastic holder for the top switch wires mount would be a big help.

Here’s an under dash pic of my 68 convertible. Let me know if you need to see more.

I believe that picture has answered my question. Looks like the intermediate harness comes up behind the plastic steering wheel cover. Does yours have a little plastic wire holer on it for the convertible top switch wires?
Looks like your 68 has a/c and hideaway h/l system like mine. Thanks for the picture ,Rick |

Thought I had a picture of that wire holder but can't find. It mounts just to the right of fuse block. Upper hole on mine for holder was maybe an inch or so above screw that mounts fuse block to firewall and pretty much inline vertically.
Would have to remove my firewall pad for a picture now. Hope this makes sense

kk68, that is an excellent underdash view, such great condition. Looks like my underdash. AS IT SHOULD BE.
