QJet throttle hookup-See picture (Need picture if you have one)
Just finished the 2bbl to 4bbl swap (engine out, sum2800 cam, new oil pan, new paint job, etc - it’s been out for weeks). Runs soooo good. Cliffs kit works great; super smooth 1,100 RPM idle. Super snappy throttle response. Can’t wait to take it for a drive.
Next up is fabricating a plate to attach to the stock throttle plate so I can pull the ball-joint connector off my 2bbl carb and attach it to the fabricated plate. Then my stock throttle cable can just push onto that ball-joint. Thinking the green dot on the picture is roughly where the ball-joint would attach to pull the throttle plates slightly up and back to work the throttle open. You have a Chevy throttle cable there which accepts a ball ended stud.

Any ideas on length of a 2bbl throttle cable vs a 4bbl throttle cable?
I feel that if the lengths are different; me fabricating a plate myself gives me the opportunity to attach my (potentially shorter) 2bbl throttle cable to the homemade plate further back. Thanks again, -Matt

You can also drill through the ball socket and simply side it over the stud. At the same time you can also add a short piece of metal to make up the difference between stud and socket. I've used an old hacksaw blade cut to length and drilled at each end with the teeth ground off and the thing painted black. Sounds hinky but actually looks and works good. Below is a photo of the old dual quad setup I was running on the blue goat with the converted hacksaw blade. I've used blades on three or four engines and the metal is quite tough.

I would by the Full-size Pontiac throttle arm with the ball. Ames Part # PN328.

+2 and if it doesn't work just right just add material to it if/as needed to move the ball where you need it to be. Much easier than fabricating the entire part from scratch........IMHO.....Cliff

Any reason I should stay away from one of these two? This place is in Michigan and I'm thinking I'd get it to my doorstep quicker? Anything I'm missing?
I like the one without the stud in it (just the hole) which I can put my ball fitting directly into... however I like the one with the stud because it has the flat angle on to use your hand to work the throttle. I'd just have to remove the stud with a grinder (or keep it if my throttle cable is indeed too short; because as stated above I'll need to extend it with a hacksaw blade anyhow). One end of the hacksaw blade with a hole in it onto the stud and the other end with the ball joint I already have attached to it. Thanks again.

2bbl and 4bbl cable lengths are different. stop by i have some stuff you can have. 4bbl fuel line and some carb stuff i saved over the years.
