Old Ultradyne Cam Info
Hey guys,
I stumbled across this old Ultradyne camshaft that is in usable shape. I have found a number stamped on the back. The number is 37947. I assume this is the part number. Do you all have any idea what the specs are for this camshaft? |

That's the core number. The grind number (the one you're looking for) is on the front bearing journal and usually get worn off from rubbing against the cam thrust plate.

Thanks for the reply Paul. I found the stamping of H9, (possibly H8) and 274/284, but that doesn't really correlate to the H8 or H9 Markings on the old master sheets I found online.

H is probably for hydraulic flat tappet, 8 would be the LSA 108 (or 109) 274/284 would be the advertised duration.

I am looking now at the face of the cam for other numbers. I will update.

Did not find anything else on the face of the cam, but on the back I have also found this number: 370.571
Maybe that will ring a bell with someone. |
