Arrow McLeod dual disc clutch

Anybody running one? Thoughts? Considering it for my very heavy 65 GP and T-56.
Any better suggestion? SOB is not inexpensive.

I'm running the RXT ceramic version, it was grabby first time I clutched it I was like wow....then it broke in a bit and its much better now. Will take some rpm burn off the line to get the pig moving, good clutch. What gear and tranny 1st ratio u running? How much power in engine?

I bought one and haven't installed it yet. It is supposed to have less than stock pedal pressure with the ability to hold over 600 ftlbs of torque. I also got the ceramic version, as the company tech guy said it was much more durable and would not burn up under hard use.

I bought the RXT (ceramic) with my T56 and have installed it but not ran it yet.

Of all the dual discs I looked at it seemed the best ratio of cost/capability.

Google it and you will see some reviews. I have the rxt and yes grabby as it does not have any torsion spring to absorb any initial grab. Sent mine back for chattering but one I got back was the same, and after a while it does seem to get better. I would have went with a good single disc next time. We called Mcleod and they recommend this due to weight vs horse power. Also found that mechanical linkage does not like the rxt, I guess to much pressure for the mechanical linkage, so now swapping to hydraulic.

Put in mine (RXT) with the T56 Magnum swap. Went with hydraulic clutch. Works very well so far and I like it.

Yeah, no sprung hubs on the discs, they will be grabby, and lock fast and hard. They started offering the ceramic discs due to people slipping them because of how grabby they can be. But, they hold good under considerable power.

The SPEC 3+ setup is a single disc, hybrid material, sprung hub, and rated at 900 ftlbs. Its a much better option, and the SPEC 3 is a little more friendly on the street, rated at 780 ft lbs.

Can see the description of their' different levels here:

Can look at the 2 and 2+ as well, if you're under 650 ft lbs.

I've recommended these to a number of people who have detroyed many of the 'main stream' performance clutches, and they couldn't be happier. I just got a 3+ for my 'bird, which will be over 700 ft lbs, will provide feedback in the spring.

Be sure to call and talk to them before you order, they may recommend other compatible part numbers than what's listed on their' site.

That’s a good price on those clutches
