it all depends on how original your car is;
if you have PHS it should say if you have an AM radio and a rear seat speaker;
if your car was ordered with an 8-track player (which always used a front and rear speaker), it would have had a "mono" AM radio, and the balance to the rear speaker would have been done through the 8-track player...

This is whats on it. Matter of fact, this all this car came equipped with. The car came with out a radio. It did have an 8 track in the console. Not sure how original it is though

to me, that appears to be an AM-mono radio;
The 8-track player was not ordered from the factory - as the PHS would show it;
There is also no separate order for a rear seat speaker (which would have been included with an 8-track player).

I believe that a great deal of these cars were ordered with the AM-mono radio because that ensured that you received a windshield with the embedded antenna;
Apparently if a 70-81 car was ordered without a radio, it received a plain windshield, and back then replacing it with a windshield with an embedded antenna was a large expense (I know a local who made that mistake, and to this date he has an antenna on the rear passenger quarter panel).

I actually have a 1975 AM-mono radio at home;
I am unsure if I still have the original radio face for that radio, and I would expect you to want a 100% correct one...
I can look into it... but in the meantime, if anyone else has one, speak up!

Thanks for that info. If you can check and see if you have the face plate I would be interested in it. Probably with out it also. Shout me a pm how much you may want for it.
