Essential tools in the trunk
In reading another thread about someone taking a long trip with their classic, I've been trying to think about what tools you might want to take with you in case of various necessitated roadside repairs. Aside from a socket set, what are some important tools that you were happy you brought along or miffed that you didn't. Obviously, you can't bring the whole kit and caboodle, so what was your experience with something that failed and the needed tools that you had or didn't have.
Save the essential spare parts thing for another thread. |

Cell phone, fire extinguisher and some small tools... pliers, screw drivers, and wrenches. Even some Gorilla tape, electrical tape, and electrical connectors.
My car insurance covers almost the same as AAA, so I don't really need an AAA card.

Rags and a set of jumper cables. 3 or 4 quarts of oil just in case you need to add some. But buy them here is the States... they're cheaper than in Canada.

A bright and freshly charged LED spotlight (with the 12V charger) is my #1 tool to carry. If I can't see it I can't fix it.
