Default Good Harley sites?

I picked up a '03 RoadKing about a month ago.
I plan on doing a little work on it when it gets too cold to ride,so......Can anybody recommend a good site/forum for wrenching on them?
Thanks.

Your local roadhouse as long as you're not a RUB

What do you plan on doing to it?

I was riding AMF Harleys back when most people were riding crotch rockets wearing flip flops. Now everybody has one.

For now, rejetting the carb,I'm sure it's still stock

I still love the older ones too.,but my wife was actually on me to get one the last 5 years. We want to take some road trips which are not as practical on an older bike. She just had a neck/back operation too.

If you're looking to take road trips check out Indians. I haven't ridden a new M8 bike, but the 17 Roadmaster I got this year is far and away a better riding bike than my 13 Road Glide was. The suspension is actually car smooth, GPS works great, high/low heated seat, heated grips, adjustable windshield.... They cost a little more and aftermarket parts make HD stuff look like a bargain, but have your wife sit on one and see. 17's are marked down pretty good now.

Cool.

Don't screw with the stock carb, they're just not worth it. Get yourself an S&S carb. It will never run better.

Well, this one is bought and paid for. Thanks for the tip though.
I do have an Indian dealer here in Racine, and I know the owner. I just don't like the look of the Indian as compared to the HD. I DID look at them
The one I bought has the quick release tour pack,so I ride without it 99% of the time, then pop it on when the wife wants a ride..

One of my daughters works at Harley in Milwaukee. I was talking to a guy who works in R&D and he said new rods and jets on a stock carb can make them run a lot better. I guess they're pretty lean from the factory, and now that it's even chillier outside,I can tell. If that does not work,I'll look aftermarket.

Thanks guys.

A guy around the corner from me refines what Harley makes and is one of the best in the country with tuning their fuel injection. He also works closely with S&S as well as tunes Dave Perewitz's daughter's record holding salt flats bike.

Do what you want it's you're bike but trust me, you're messing with a useless atomizer.

(Do you really think Harley is going to tell you their stuff is not worth messing with?)

I had a '74 XLCH

You need a damn good leg to start those due to it being kicker only.

Not sure what model carb that bike has but if it’s an iteration of the Keihin CV they are pretty easy to work on. Harley did run them lean I believe for emissions. There is a website dedicated to the parts of those, CV Performance. I’ve bought quite a few parts for mine. As stated before HD Forums is a great forum.
