Default US Made flat tappet hydraulic lifters - back in stock $59.00 free shipping

easiest way to buy is from my Ebay listing $59.00 with free shipping

http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Hydrauli.../282591309766?

US made !!!!!!! highest quality SAME AS NOS!! Fast and free shipping!
Please look at these lifters closely. Note the bottom of these with extra groove.

I found this out the hard way!
These are the best Pontiac and Oldsmobile lifters available.
I've been using these for many years without any problems.
All my Pontiac cam kits include these lifters - see my other auctions

http://www.elginind.com/ are parts manufacturers in the US. Not sure if these are from them or not though.

If the Summit pics are accurate, the Sealed power and Comp Cams lifters have the same grooves. But, I've noticed a few Summit pics that were not correct, for the product advertised.

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/c...w/make/pontiac

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/s...w/make/pontiac

Advance & Amazon show the same grooves, for the CC lifters, but NOT the Sealed Power. So, I reckin the Summit pic, for the SP lifters is wrong. Don't know exactly what lifters you'd actually get in a box of CC lifters. It has been posted here that CC has changed suppliers a few times.

https://www.amazon.com/Competition-C.../dp/B000CIOCRC

https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/s.../ht951/4734099

Hylift Johnson don't have the lower groove.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/PONTIAC-HYDR....c100005.m1851

Rhoads don't have the lower groove. They are said to be modified Hylift Johnson lifters. And, according to the pics, they do look the same on the outside.

https://www.summitracing.com/search/...rder=Ascending

These Howard's lifters also look like the HJ & Rhoads.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Howards-Cams...pXcWlm&vxp=mtr

This is interesting. These Lunati lifters show to have a high groove, and a real snap ring retainer. Don't know if the pic is accurate or not.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lunati-71951...VRTO2c&vxp=mtr

The Lunati site does mention the snap ring, but does not show a pic. Rhoads are the only other lifters I've seen with the snap rings.

http://www.lunatipower.com/Product.aspx?id=766&gid=208

This pic shows the snap ring, but no grooves. So, again, don't what you'd get in the box.

"...Who in the US is manufacturing lifters besides Hylift-Johnson?...I sent a PM a few days ago asking who the mfgr is, no reply. "

Anybody have answers to these questions ???

"...Note the bottom of these with extra groove.
If you have lifters without these grooves, they may not be US made!..."

I have never personally seen any lifter with this low groove. So, who else has seen these low groove lifters, and what brand was on the box they came in. ?

Anyhow, if these are good quality lifters, that Spotts price will be hard to beat.

And, while asking lifter questions, here are some more. Anybody use the Lunati lifters I mentioned, which have the snap ring retainers ? Anybody use the Crower Cam Saver lifters ? If so, any problems with either ?

Anybody know exactly what size/type snap rings could be used to replace the flimsy wire, paperclip type retainers, in Pontiac HFT lifters ? I've had 2 Pontiac engines in which the wire clips failed, scattering lifter guts about the lifter valley.

Just for kicks, I Googled the subject. This site says there are now 3 USA lifter makers: Delphi, Morel, & Hylift Johnson. They also link a Summit Chevy lifter which shows a low groove. The pic of the Summit Pontiac lifters does not show any grooves. Don't know what you'd get in a box of Summit lifters. Anybody bought some lately ?

http://garage.grumpysperformance.com...lifters.10322/

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/s...w/make/pontiac

On the Jegs site, they show a pic of the low groove lifters, in the description of CC 852-16 Pontiac lifters. But again, who knows what would come in the box ?

http://www.jegs.com/i/COMP-Cams/249/852-16/10002/-1

This USA made lifter deal seems to be very secretive. It seems that most don't want anybody to know who made the lifters they are selling. I suppose it's a competitive deal, where the big name sellers don't want folks to buy the same lifters they're selling, for a better price somewhere else.

Right now, I don't know where to buy any of the low groove lifters, for a cheaper price than the Spotts $59 shipped price.

How about some USA made LPC lifters ? Hylift Johnson maybe ?

I have a lot of lifter questions and very few answers. But, life goes on.

PS this is a std hy lift lifter for some other company .
This is false information. First off Mellings does not manufacture lifters. Secondly the lifter with "the band at the bottom" is not manufactured by Johnson Hy-lift.
