Side window rollers
Has anyone successfully removed the plastic rollers off of the side window hardware in the pics above? Can these parts be removed, serviced, and re-installed? Anyone have any experience? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Steve, if you search eBay on the part numbers you should be able to find some. Most vendors can carry these so check around for best price. As far as I know they did not service the plastic roller as a separate part.

FWIW...all second gen F-Bodys use the same thing. When it came time to assemble my door windows, my door rollers & door rods were gone (thanks to the thief body man I started out with). A friend at work had scrapped about 10 camaros to get what he needed for his car and he gave me everything I needed. Just passing it along. GM made all of it interchangeable. New stuff is nice if it is made right, but I think good used OEM stuff works & fits better.

Nice edit, sounded like someone was copping it!
Another misconception is that the rollers 'roll'. They simply slide and are generally too stiff anyway, repros are likewise not terribly free spinning. |

I have sucessfully pressed out the rollers and reinstalled them. Its been years ago (mid to late 90s), but i used a bench vise, a socket deep enough to allow brace the roller yet allow the hardware from the roller to fall into while using a small punch in the vise or press to press out the hardware. Obviously simple pressing the roller back onto the old hardware is simply that.
