Default 67 firebird fender question

I am helping someone work on his 67 firebird. the right fender top does not follow the contour of the hood. it is flatter and doesn't have the arc that the hood does . we fit an aftermarket 400 hood on it and its the same way. the left side is fine. I figured it was a repop fender? anyone have this problem before? is there a better repop fender he could buy? or anyone have a nice passenger side oem fender?
thanks Bryan

I have read many times on this forum and others that there is really only one producer of repop fenders for our '67 Birds and everyone sells the same thing. Whether that is true or not I can't verify, but I have never read of anyone being happy with the fit or shaping of the repop fenders.

The only way to be sure of getting one that is satisfactory is to find a good used part.

Common issue on passenger side of the 1st gen 400 hood. I have a friend that made several cuts on the flange and pressed the passenger side of the hood to take out some bend and rewelded the flange.

I didn't realize that. I thought I was imagining things.
