What is the torque spec for the rocker studs on KRE heads?

45 Ft. Lbs. with a good moly lube on the threads, and washers, and under head of stud.

55 Lbs. on Iron heads, for those curious. But no more than 45 on aluminum.

Thead sealer on some of them as they break into the intake ports. To prevent sucking earl

I had removed mine and upon reinstallation by the machine shop the threads wanted to pull out at 45 ftlbs. Had to have all 16 holes heli coiled, problem solved. They were new at the time.

The threads were probably over-torqued, and popped when you got them, then when re-torquing they couldn't take it, and pulled.

I've also seen people put the studs in with an impact wrench, and even though they don't really crank down on them, the hammering action breaks the threads loose.
