Last Australian Ford on friday
It was a sad day for thousands of direct and indirect Ford employees as Ford Australia finished production .
This is the beginning of the end for all car and ute manufacturing in Oz as next year will see GM Holden pull out along with Toyota. All cars will be imported now ,very sad,I can't understand how the government can let all the manufacturers go. John L.

It is sad. Its always a shame seeing a once great manufacture move out, and be replaced by imported crap.
We know all too well about that over here.

Grew up driving Falcons in NZ. XB and XC wagons, utes and panelvans. Owned an XC Fairmont wagon at one point that is probably worth a small fortune now.
Never was much of a Holden fan - but I still remember the rivalry. Sad to hear Ford are no more down under.
