Default best fitting headers 70 firebird round port

upgrading to round port heads and need headers.
Looking for recommendations on header fit and finish. I noticed dougs has 1 7/8 for 2nd gen and then 2" specifically for 70-74 firebirds. I know only 1/8 larger but is 2" headers needed for around 600hp.
I currently run hooker super comps (d port)
thanks

I had Black Jack, Cyclones and dougs years ago . They all were a bit$h to install hammering tubes and such. They all leaked, went to hooker 2 inch tube for round port. They went on easy and didn't leak. But they do hang low on a 2nd gen. Hope this helps.

I'd go with the 1 7/8 for sure. I've never been disappointed with Doug's.

they are d-ports but my tribal tube tri-y's fit MINT. clear all the 4 speed stuff and they sit even with the oil pan, if you hit them on the ground you've done something

I'm running the Super Comp rounds and they's a major pain in the rear to install.

Im happy with the dougs 1 7/8. They fit tight under the body. Plenty of room for standard size oil filter. Not a huge PITA. Just a PITA. Took about 4 hours to install on a hi option, street trim, automatic, 2 gen.

My headman hustler 2in primary fit good but hang low. But any conventional 2in primary header will hang low.

For round port 2" Super Comp Hookers fit as good as any. 1 3/4 Hedman-terrible fit I had to redo 2 tubes on each side originally hit firewall! My redo you can even slide them in easy and get to most bolts easily.1 7//8 Hedman fit OK. Tribal's Tri Y look like a good fit I can tell you in a few months.
